For Bristol venues

Get your venue into the plan.

We independently choose Bristol venues for the guide. Partners get the tools to turn that discovery into bookings, visits and busier nights.

How it works

Discovery stays independent. Partners get more from it.

Being good enough for the guide and paying to market your venue are two different things. We keep them that way.

Editorial inclusion

Chosen by First Orders

No charge

  • Venue name, location and directions
  • One main photograph
  • Short First Orders description
  • Up to three accurate discovery tags
  • Organic inclusion in matching crawls

Enough to help people discover the right pub. Inclusion is always our decision.

First Orders Pick

A genuine recommendation

Cannot be bought

We award this to places we genuinely rate. It is an editorial signal for visitors - not a paid upgrade.

People choose with their eyes first.

Strong photographs and honest details help the right customers choose your venue.

What makes the list.

You do not need to be the biggest venue. You need to give people a clear reason to visit.

Venue application

Think your pub belongs here?

Tell us whether you want editorial consideration or want to discuss the £25 Partner programme. Just send the essentials - we can build the profile for you.

Good to know: Partner applications still go through our venue review. Payment does not buy a recommendation.

A listing people can actually use.

First Orders helps groups choose pubs and turn them into a walkable Bristol route.

Questions from venue teams.

How can my venue appear on First Orders?

Apply for editorial consideration or tell us you are interested in becoming a Partner. Editorial venues are selected independently. The Partner programme is for suitable Bristol venues that want enhanced marketing features.

Does it cost to be included?

Editorial inclusion has no charge and cannot be bought. The optional Partner programme costs £25 a month and adds tools that help a venue turn discovery into visits.

What does a First Orders Partner get?

Partners can add more photos, offers, events, menu and booking links, website and social links, receive performance statistics and ask us to update their profile.

Do Partners appear in more searches?

Editorial listings can use up to three accurate discovery tags. Partners can use up to five, giving them more opportunities to match relevant searches and crawl preferences. Tags must describe what the venue genuinely offers, and no placement is guaranteed.

Can a venue pay to become a First Orders Pick?

No. First Orders Pick is an editorial recommendation and is never for sale. Partner status is always labelled separately.

Is every Partner application accepted?

We first verify that the business is a genuine Bristol venue and suitable for the First Orders audience. Partner status is a marketing relationship, not an editorial endorsement, and we will not take payment if the venue is not suitable.

Can paying improve our position in crawl results?

No. Organic crawl matching remains based on what a venue genuinely offers. Partner offers and events can receive clearly labelled promotional placements where relevant.
